Terms of Use

1. Scope

Reelox provides an AI-assisted conversation experience, including access to AI personas, chat sessions, favorites, and related account or guest features. This Agreement applies to every way you access or use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how the current app handles information and forms part of the terms governing your use of Reelox.

2. Eligibility and Phone Account

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into this Agreement. If applicable law requires a higher age or additional consent, you must meet that requirement before using Reelox.

Registered access uses a phone number and profile information. You must provide information you are entitled to use and keep it accurate. You are responsible for activity performed through your account or device and should prevent unauthorized access. Tell us promptly at the contact address below if you believe your account is being misused.

3. Guest Access

You may be able to use limited features as a guest without creating a phone account. Reelox generates a guest identifier to distinguish guest activity on the device. Guest access is intended for temporary use: it may not be transferable or recoverable, and guest data may be lost if app data is cleared, the app is removed, or the device changes. We may change which features are available to guests.

4. Acceptable Use

You must use Reelox lawfully and responsibly. You must not:

• use the Service to violate law or the rights of another person, including intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other personal rights;
• create, request, upload, or distribute content that is exploitative, abusive, threatening, fraudulent, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful;
• harm or attempt to harm minors, promote dangerous conduct, or use the Service for criminal activity;
• introduce malicious code, disrupt the Service, bypass safeguards or access controls, or probe systems without authorization;
• impersonate another person, misrepresent affiliation, automate abusive traffic, or interfere with another user; or
• use AI output as the sole basis for a decision that could materially affect a person's health, safety, legal rights, finances, employment, housing, education, or access to essential services.

We may investigate suspected misuse and restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, the Service, or comply with law.

5. AI-Generated Content Limitations

Reelox uses automated AI systems to generate responses. AI output may be incorrect, incomplete, outdated, biased, offensive, or unsuitable for your circumstances. It may present invented information as fact. You must independently review and verify output before relying on it.

AI output is provided for general informational and conversational purposes only. It is not medical, legal, or financial advice and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. Reelox is not an emergency service. For urgent safety, health, or legal concerns, contact the appropriate emergency service or qualified professional.

You are responsible for how you use, share, or act on AI output. Do not assume an AI persona is a human or that its statements represent the views of Reelox.

6. User Content

"User Content" means prompts, messages, profile information, and other material you submit through the Service. You retain any rights you have in your User Content and remain responsible for it. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit it.

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, transmit, and process User Content only as needed to operate, maintain, protect, and provide the Service, including routing message and persona data to the configured AI service as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not submit confidential information or another person's personal information unless you are authorized to do so and accept the risks of AI processing.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, interface, branding, and operator-provided materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Subject to this Agreement, we give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose.

Rights in AI output can vary by jurisdiction and circumstances. We do not promise that output is unique, eligible for intellectual property protection, or free from third-party claims. Other users may receive similar output. You are responsible for checking whether your intended use is lawful.

8. Availability and Changes to the Service

The Service may be unavailable, delayed, or changed because of maintenance, network conditions, third-party services, technical faults, safety measures, or legal requirements. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, permanent availability of any feature or persona, or that content stored on a device will always be recoverable.

We may update, add, limit, suspend, or discontinue features. Keep reasonable copies of content you need and install app updates when appropriate.

9. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Reelox at any time. Registered users may use an available in-app account deletion control; users may also delete individual chat sessions, clear chat history, remove favorites, or remove the app, subject to the limitations explained in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially or repeatedly breach this Agreement, create risk or possible legal exposure, misuse the Service, or if suspension is required by law or necessary to protect the Service or others. Where reasonable and lawful, we will provide notice. Terms that by their nature should continue, including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions, survive termination.

10. Disclaimers and Liability Limits

To the extent permitted by law, the Service and AI output are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim implied warranties that may lawfully be excluded, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, or for loss of profits, opportunity, goodwill, or data, arising from use of or inability to use the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our liability is limited to direct loss that was reasonably foreseeable and caused by our breach.

Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

11. Changes to This Agreement

We may update this Agreement to reflect changes in Reelox, law, or our operations. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, where reasonably required, provide additional notice in the app. Changes apply from the stated effective date. If you do not agree to an updated Agreement, stop using the Service; continued use after it takes effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts of Hong Kong SAR have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to this Agreement or the Service. This clause does not deprive you of mandatory protections or the right to bring a claim in another forum available under applicable consumer law.
